About us

Olympic Harriers is one of the oldest harrier clubs in the Wellington region. It was formed in 1914 as an off-shoot of the former Brooklyn Harrier Club; today we remain one of the country’s strongest clubs across all grades. We have a strong sense of tradition with many of our races and trophies dating back to shortly after we were formed.

We cater for all levels of the sport, and focus on families with a strong children and junior section.

Colgate 2012

We have a strong tradition of cross-country and mountain running, having won the top club award at the North Island Cross Country champs in 2009, 2010 and 2012, and having had ten members represent New Zealand at the World Mountain Running Trophy (now Championships) since 2000.

Olympic Harriers is a non-profit incorporated society. We are run by volunteers who are members of the club, or who are parents of members.
