Athletics Wellington Cross Country Championships, Waikanae Park, Waikanae Saturday, 15 July 2006

Turned out to be a great day. The course was in pretty good nick and some interesting racing ensued.

Highlight of the day was our very own Jess Kerr winning a gold medal in the Girls 9 and under race with a beautifully timed finish and very well judged race, congratulations Jess!!!

The second highlight was Lachlan Rusbridge finally showing us what we all knew he could do with a fine end to end performance for bronze in the Men 16 and under, very well done Lachlan!!!

For those of you who decided the weather was rather too wintry I don't blame you but it wasn't in Waikanae!! check out the pictures.
